Patty Barksdale is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida practicing in the Appellate Division. Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Patty clerked for two federal judges (the Hon. Emmett R. Cox and the Hon. Timothy J. Corrigan). Patty is also the Chair of The Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee, is a barrister in the Chester Bedell Inn of Court, and sits on the Local Rules Committee for the Middle District of Florida.

Carol Mirando is an Assistant General Counsel for the City of Jacksonville Office of General Counsel, practicing in the general litigation department. Before joining the General Counsel’s Office, Carol was senior counsel for the U.S. subsidiary of an international manufacturing corporation. Carol clerked for two federal judges (the late Hon. Paul H. Roney and the Hon. Harvey E. Schlesinger) and was a litigation and transactional associate at Holland & Knight. Carol is a member of both The Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee and the Jacksonville Bar Association.

Susanne Weisman is a career law clerk for the Honorable Timothy J. Corrigan, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida. Susanne is also an adjunct professor at Florida Coastal School of Law, teaching legal research and writing. Susanne is an active member of the Jacksonville Bar Association.

Laura Boeckman is an Associate Professor of Law at the Florida Coastal School of Law. She supervises the Consumer Law Clinic which represents low income clients in debt collection defense and foreclosure defense. Laura clerked for the Honorable Harvey E. Schlesinger and is also the chair of the Consumer Law Committee of the Florida Bar’s Public Interest Law Section as well as a member of the Florida Bar’s Small Claims Rules committee.
