Constitution Day Luncheon

On September 17, the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida’s Open Doors to Courts Program co-hosted a luncheon to celebrate the 223rd anniversary of the signing of the Constitution. Hank Coxe of the Bedell Firm presented a program during which participants were asked to individually choose which five of ten fundamental rights they could not do without, and then to do so in groups of five. The program promoted lively debate and discussion about those rights that we hold most dear. The program was modeled after one spearheaded by Florida Supreme Court Justice R. Fred Lewis.
